Photo scanning
Point, shoot, log. Dishes are identified and portioned from a single frame, with barcode scanning for anything packaged.
Built in Nigeria for West African plates
Point your camera at the plate. Morfit reads the swallow, the soup and the protein — then tells you what it actually costs you, in the units your body works in.
Free to start. No card, no trial countdown.

Trained on the food people here actually eat — not a US database with jollof bolted on.
NGLocal first
Meals, weight and your fasting window in one app — so the picture is actually complete.
01One place
01The gap
Search “egusi” in the big trackers and you get a guess, a US restaurant entry, or nothing. So people log “rice” for jollof, skip the soup entirely, and quietly give up in week two.
It is not a discipline problem. The tool never understood the food.
A pot of soup serves a family across three days. Per-serving logging assumes a plated Western meal.
Amala, eba, fufu and tuwo behave differently on a plate and in a body. Mapping them to “bread” loses the point.
Local brands, street food and market produce simply are not in the catalogues these apps license.
02How it works
The whole loop is a photo and a glance. Everything else the app does happens behind that.
One photo, straight from the camera. No weighing, no searching, no picking the closest wrong entry from a list.
Vision models identify the dishes and estimate portions, then check the result against Morfit’s food database. Scan a barcode instead when the food came in a packet.
Correct a portion if it looks off, and it is in your day — calories, protein, carbs, fat, against the targets your goals set.
03What it does today
Shipped and working in the app right now — not a roadmap dressed up as a feature list.
Point, shoot, log. Dishes are identified and portioned from a single frame, with barcode scanning for anything packaged.
Daily and weekly plans built from your body, your targets and what you will actually eat.
Where the calories actually came from, which days hold and which ones slip — in sentences, not pivot tables.

Set the protocol, start the timer, keep the streak. Your eating window and your log finally live in the same place.

Daily weigh-ins smoothed into a trend line, so a heavy Sunday does not read as failure.
Height, weight, activity and goal set your macro split — and it moves as the numbers move.
04In build
Listed separately from the feature set above on purpose. These are in the app as placeholders today, and they ship in this order.
A full exercise catalogue, logged against the same daily targets.
Small accountability groups — the thing that actually keeps people logging past week three.
Human coaching layered on top of the data, for people who want to be told what to do.
Licensed nutritionists reviewing real logs, not questionnaires.
05Who it is for
The targets change with the goal. The plate does not have to.
A deficit you can hold, measured against food you already cook.
Protein targets that survive a diet of swallow and soup.

Carb and portion awareness for the diagnoses that run in families here.
No goal, no deficit. Simply knowing what is on the plate.
06Questions
Accurate enough to be useful, and honest about the rest. Morfit identifies the dishes and estimates the portion, then shows you what it assumed so you can correct it in a tap. A tracked estimate you actually keep up beats a precise weight you abandon in week two.
